Jared L. Miller, Associate Head Coach
Coach Jared L. Miller has assumed the role of Associate Head Coach under Coach Wilson after spending the last 4 seasons as an Assistant in the program and 2 seasons as the Head Coach for the 2nd Varsity Team.
As with all staff at Mountain Mission School, Mr. Miller also wears multiple hats. In his primary role he is the Principal & Director of Education in which he is in his 6th year. He has also served as a Hall Parent and AD during his career at MMS.
Coach Miller has over 12 years of diverse coaching experience having coached basketball at the pee wee, middle school, junior varsity, varsity, and professional (While on the mission field in Ethiopia as a player/coach in the men’s first division in the Addis Ababa Basketball League) levels as well as being a camp director and dean. He also has coaching experience in football, cross country, volleyball, and track & field and officiating experience in basketball.
Jared’s coaching successes include 2 undefeated basketball seasons and 1 undefeated football season as well as helping to lead Blanchester High School to it’s first league championship in 52 years.
Though Coach Miller has enjoyed on the court success his highest priority is the development of Christian character and sportsmanship in his student athletes. “We will compete and play to win, but we teach the kids that ultimately giving our best and growing toward our potential is most important. We want to work unto the Lord and not to man as we are told in Colossians 3:23.”
Coach Miller and his wife Erin have been married for 16 years and have 5 children – Tressel, Blaise, Jocelyn, Jordan, & Aletheia.
Jared completed his undergraduate work at Wright State University and holds a Masters in Educational Administration from Xavier University.
